Oh hummm......... I'm so glad Friday is almost here! It has been a long week back to work! I was really looking forward to going to Williamsburg's Grand Illumination of Lights this coming Sunday but instead Joe and I are going out to dinner with my dad, step mom, and my step brother to celebrate my stepmother's birthday. I'm not sure yet where we will be going to dinner. I'm sure I will be posting pictures of birthday dinner up later Sunday night. Also be on the lookout for pictures of Toby on Sunday because is he is getting a haircut and after it is done he will look like a traditional Scottish Terrier. These pictures are a few more of my Christmas decorations I have around the house. The lighted gift is actually a part the present I am going to give my step mom for her birthday. I really haven't started to do any of my Christmas shopping yet other than one small gift for Joe and one stocking stuffer. Oh yea, Joe and I did finish Toby's Christmas. He is one spoiled dog! He is going to be one happy dog on Christmas morning! I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

Sunday Joe and I went out to Target and picked up a few christmas decorations and such. We picked up a hanger for my wreath, christmas cards, and an angel to put on top of the tree. Joe was helpful by giving Toby a bath. He looks so good after a bath! He is our baby! We have an appointment Sunday at PetSmart to get him groomed. Monday I went back to work, blah. When I got home from work I decided to put up our new nativity scene that Joe's stepmom bought for us.

Thanksgiving Vacation

Vacation started last Friday night. Joe and I just decided to stay in. I did manage to run into Walgreen's before I went home and bought a new pink blow dryer. My old blow dryer bit the dust a nite or two before. I was just a little excited to buy the new one because it was pink! Saturday I stayed at home and took a nap and just enjoyed lounging around. When Joe came home we decided to go to Va Beach Funnybone Comedy Club. We saw J. Medicine Hat, a hypnosis comedian. It was a awesome show! Sunday I got the Christmas tree out and started to put it together. Monday I managed to finish putting up the tree and putting the lights on it and got some grocery shopping done! My Christmas tree is an older one that you put the tree up level by level, branch by branch. Its a little time consuming! Tuesday I went out in the cold rain and met up with my best gal pal, Valerie, and we had lunch and did some Christmas shopping. That evening I finally finished the whole Christmas tree by putting up all the decorations. I still have to get Joe to hang our Christmas wreath. Wednesday I spent the day watching my nephews, TJ and Frankie. I really wanted to take them somewhere but we were unable to due to the nasty storm we had. We still had a great time playing indoors! With hardly no sleep for almost 24 hours Joe, Toby and I got on the road at 4am Thursday morning (Thanksgiving Day) heading for Greenville, SC to see his dad's side of the family. Unfortunately we were in a accident at about 8:30 am somewhere around Burlington, NC. A gold Chrysler hit us on the passanger side where I was sitting. Luck and God were with us and no one was hurt. The driver of the gold car pulled over only to ask Joe not to call the police. Long story short the driver ended up pulling off but not before Joe had time to write her tags down! GOOD JOB JOE! Joe then called the police and told them what had happened. Also to our added luck Joe's truck was only cosmetically damaged. We were able to continue our drive to SC. An hour away from Greenville Joe received the call that the other driver had been caught and owned up to driving off and the accident being her fault. Hopefully we can get the insurance straightened out now! When we finally got to SC I was a little nervous seeing Joe's family only because I only met them a few times and I hadn't really warmed up to them yet. It was nice to go out with his family for Thanksgiving dinner at Cracker Barrel. Friday Joe, his dad, grandad, and brother stayed behind raking leaves while Joe's step mom and I went out to do some Christmas shopping. We didn't get any shopping done because traffic was so bad on the roads and the stores were horribly packed. I love to shop but I don't have patience to wait in long lines and traffic. On the upside of not getting shopping done Joe's step mom and I had a chance to have a nice long chat while we were sitting in traffic. Saturday night we went to Ruby Tuesday with the family then over to Joe's sister, Jenny, house to hang out. Saturday morning Joe and I said goodbye to his family and headed for our 7hr drive back home. We made it back home with no accidents!
